The charity I've chosen is the amazing Raise 'n Rescue who rescue and re-home dogs and cats from impoverished areas. They do such great work and they could really use the funds to assist with the amazing work that they do. Levis foldables

I am back in the game! I really hope you like the new look and feel of the blog. It looks just as hot on your phone or iPad as well which is something I've wanted to get right for a long time.

So lets get back to the business of shopping shall we? With it being a scorcher of a week ahead, you'll want to have some sunnies on hand all the time. Levi's have brought their A-game this summer and I previously raved about the collection here. I ended up with the pair of gold/orange reflective aviators and have lived in them all summer long.
Now they've added foldable wayfarers to the collection. I love the idea of a pair of sunglasses so compact, they could fit into a clutch bag. Or if you're feeling like the boy needs a spoil, these could pop right into his pocket.

While I am loving anything with bright reflective lenses right now, my favourite in this collection is the all-black. I definitely think the boy needs a pair of these, which he'll be forced to share, of course.

Levis Eyewear

Aviators, wayfarers and colourful reflective lenses = must-have eyewear styles for Spring/Summer. The shapes are classic and the colourful lenses make them stand out. Even better, is that unlike so many designer eyewear brands, the Levi's range is affordable, without compromising on quality. I have two pairs and could quite happily splurge on a pair in each lens colour. I've become set in my ways and almost only ever wear aviators so this Summer I am going to give the wayfarers a spin.

MK Fall/Winter Collection

Being a Moscon Eyewear Ambassador has definitely opened my eyes to the finer things in life. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the latest collection from Michael Kors. As ever, the brand can do no wrong and manages to come up with the best combination of chic, sophisticated and edgy.

I have the gold MK watch, so next up just has to be the sunnies to match. Logical no?
I've been coveting the signature pair from the Fall/Winter range, the Miranda - the first pic featured below. How insanely hot are these shades? My next choice would be the aviators with the subtle bling along the edges of the lenses. Love love!

Getting bespectacled with Calvin Klein & Mellins i-Style

As a Moscon Eyewear ambassador I get to do some pretty cool things. I get to see the latest eyewear collections from some amazing designers, and even better, I get to wear them. The latest mission they sent me on was to try out Mellins i-Style optometrists.

The store is huge, impressively stylish and carries so many amazing brands such as Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Silhouette Diesel, Levi's and many more. Definitely not your boring optometrist experience of years gone by. But before I could spend hours trying on dozens of styles, I had to go and do the hard bit - seeing how blind I actually am.

Mellins was one of the first to adopt new technology in the field and they use a rather fancy robot-looking machine called the i-Profiler to diagnose. This machine delivers a diagnosis 4 times more accurate than anything else existing in optometry right now, so its the real deal. I simply had to stare at a pretty picture of a hot air balloon for a few minutes and then we were done and diagnosed! (The only room for improvement would be to change the picture to a shirtless Ryan Gosling - then you'll see those pupils dance and dilate!)

I won't bore you with how blind I am, just be grateful that you are all a lot safer on the roads now. My car certainly is. And man, some of you are uuuuuugly! Kidding, all of my readers are gorgeous, obviously. Please still read my blog!
It is weird seeing the world in HD though - it took some getting used to and now I have them on me at all times. Again fellow commuters, you're welcome.

The fun bit came next when I got to pick out my "smart-but-sexy-but-not-hipster-but-not-slutty" looking specs. Like I said, they have a huge array of premium brands, but in the end I went with a gorgeous pair of tortoiseshell Calvin Klein's. The product code is CK5694-219 if you like the look of them. Elle eyewear - budget friendly chic

So Christmas has come and gone, the silly season is behind us and we are crawling our way through to January payday. New year's resolutions are the topic du jour and everyone is talking about how broke they are and how this year they are going to start that RA and save some money.
Here at Pretty Mint, we are also trying to be smarter with our hard earned bucks - but a girl still has to spoil herself. So this year, one of the resolutions we are going to work had at keeping is spending on quality staple items and signature accessories.
